Today I...
…covered a shift from 8-2.
I was going to shop after because it was downtown, but the weather was SO yucky I didn’t want to carry bags around in the freezing rain.
I got on the train and went back to my store instead, where I did some managerial business before heading back to hang with the hubs before be closed up.
Got home. Watched the Voice abs then hit the hay. Day off...

This is Portland.
I’m on a subway train that is above ground. Weird. It rolls through the city streets far too slowly. In front of me, a tall skinny African American man mumbling softly into his cell phone. He’s wearing a white watch and a black running hat. To my right, the figure of a person takes up two seats, presumably napping, underneath a white linen blanket. In front of him, a man with greasy...

Listen to My Rant on MBTA Customer Service
And I quote:
Good Afternoon,
I would like to submit a formal complaint against your Charlie Customer Service employee, Liz.
I have interacted with Liz on two occasions, both in the month of September 2012.
My situation involved two Charlie Cards. I added a Link Pass (via your website) to an old Charlie Card on 9/10/12. I updated the card at a kiosk at Forest Hills on 9/12/12. The kiosk...

Bedtime Post
Nothing profound to write about tonight.
Had some beautiful rain and thunderstorms today, oh, the plants needed it so badly! I’ve always loved thunderstorms; as loud as they are, they bring a certain kind of peace and quiet with them.
Why are people afraid of them? Guess I have my mom to thank; she always got so excited and would run to the window to watch and listen, and I think that...

Lists of Goals?
Why have em?
No, really. I’m asking this question because I’m laying in bed (where most of my constructive thoughts process) thinking about where I’m at in life. Oh, I’m digging deep. Haha. In all seriousness, I feel like I can for once focus my energies somewhere and be constructive with my time. I’ve always been a girl of many projects, one idea after another will spew itself forth, although...

Just Go For It
Ahh, so we’re a few weeks [funny, I originally wrote “a week” - that’s what it feels like!] into our home back in Boston.
It feels amazing, like a fresh coat of paint on a piece of furnitire you thought you were done with. Then you realize, thank God I didn’t throw it away, I love it again now!
The change in perspective that moving to and living in New York City has provided me is priceless...

Welcome Home
So the last time I posted I still lived in NYC. Well, a lot has changed since then!
I’m back in Boston, in a house I bought in Roslindale with my husband (yep, that’s new too!).
I can honestly say I haven’t felt happier in my life. Everything feels right, like puzzle pieces that fit so perfectly together, you have to double check that they fit.
I’ve done countless loads of laundry, which...

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!
The lady at Dunkin Donuts remembers me! I got solid confirmation today when she tried yet again (fruitlessly) to get me to order a medium coffee instead of a small, even though she knows I don’t finish a medium. And she knows how I take it - milk and sugar!
To some this may not be anything special, but I’ve never really been a “regular” anywhere. So it’s a first for...

Dammit!
On my otherwise typical morning jaunt out of Union Square station to work today, I passed a rather ominous fortune cookie fortune. It was sitting squarely at the landing of the steps out of the station, facing upward, perfectly flattened to the cold, wet train station floor beneath.
The fortune’s familiar blue lettering beckoned me to pick it up and read. But I didn’t. And now I...

Good, I Ate Tyson!
Ahh! I mean:
Gosh, I hate typos!
Hmmm
Sometimes I can’t shut up. And sometimes I just don’t have anything to say. I guess that’s okay.

I Just Had the First Day
Since I can remember where I did not receive a single email!
It was kind of nice, a peaceful feeling.
Makes one contemplate the long term psychiatric effects of instant, uninterrupted “connectivity”…hmm.
Guess we’ll all know in like 50 more years when we’re all too blind or deaf to use electronics to communicate anymore and we’ve all become antisocial,...

Path?
Just discovered a new social network (Path) and deciding whether I want to use it or not. I already feel like bits and pieces of me are spread over a million different social media networks. And I can’t fathom having to maintain another one! Social networks are weird. Future post to come on that topic…

Is it weird
That I dilute all my glasses of orange juice and grapefruit juice by about 1/3 with tap water?
It’s just too acidic otherwise!
Mmmm.
Just ate an entire bowl of arugula and avocado, drenched in rice vinegar, extra virgin olive oil and sprinkled with fresh parmesan and ground salt & pepper. Mmmm.

I like green. And lots of it. As in, salads, asparagus, broccoli, avocados, trees, grass and, well, I can’t really think if anything else just this moment. But I really like green!

Tell Me
How are cabbies ALWAYS on the phone?! How do they possibly have that many friends to talk to? And most of the time it isn’t in English. Are they constantly using up phone cards?

Top 10 Myths about Introverts →
I didn’t know someone wrote a Top 10 article about me…!
Myth #1 – Introverts don’t like to talk. This is not true. Introverts just don’t talk unless they have something to say. They hate small talk. Get an introvert talking about something they are interested in, and they won’t shut up for days.
Myth #2 – Introverts are shy. Shyness has nothing to do with being an Introvert....
